About Me
It was February of 2004 when we become “shopkeepers” in this beautiful historic town of Harpers Ferry. And to think…neither one of us had ever operated a cash register!
We always consider ourselves a “work in progress.” We are always searching for new artists and are proud to carry the work of so many Made in America craftspeople. And…we are always excited to feature the amazing workmanship of so many talented West Virginia artists.
A few years ago, Cindi started pursuing photography fairly seriously. Living in Harpers Ferry, there is always something beautiful to capture! Her prints are available in our shop and now are here on our web site.
On July 23, 2015 a devastating fire tore through our little town. We lost everything - as did the seven other businesses and two residents who lives were turned upside down. Six weeks later, we reopened just 45 steps up the street from our former location.
For those of you new to our little corner of the web…we are both former educators. In the “old days” – before becoming shop owners…we did a variety of shows in addition to our full time jobs. Then…The VL’s “MAN” decided that 46 years of teaching was LONG enough…so he retired and Cindi decided it was time to do more than just make jewelry…but to have an actual shop. So, we settled in this beautiful little corner of West Virginia where we love being shopkeepers!
Eight years ago our manager Crystal became part of our little team. Along with our other great employee, Christine, we feel like we make a great team! In fact, in 2017, we were selected as the "Best Unique Boutique" by WV Living magazine.
Our goal is simple when you visit us - laugh a little (or a lot), see things you have never seen before, learn a little, and walk out saying "wow, that is a cool shop!"
