The Bucket List

We all have one. The Bucket List.  Maybe we don’t have it written on paper – maybe it is just in our heads – maybe we don’t even realize we have one – but we do.

It is those ideas that swirl around in our heads of places we want to go – things we want to accomplish – maybe even someone we want to meet.

I found that mine became an official “bucket list” during my 49th year.  You know – that year before the BIG 50.  When you think, “Oh My Gosh – I am going to be a half century old and I haven’t yet gone to Figi or kissed George Clooney or danced with the Rockettes.”

Ok – so those weren’t on my bucket list – well, maybe kissing George Clooney.

And, yes, the VL’s MAN knows all about this – and for some reason he is not worried at all.

I didn’t really write anything down or say I am going to do this or that.  It just kind of happened.

For example….I ran a few 5Ks and I started singing in our church choir.  Both things that I spent most of my life saying that I couldn’t do.  I don’t run….and even though I play some instruments, I don’t sing.  Well…..I guess maybe I can run a little and sing a little, who knew?

Now I have found that latest item in the bucket….photography!

My husband lovingly calls me “flashbulb” – and my sweet girl Maggie, so far, is a willing model for me.

I live in one of the most beautiful areas in this country – kind of a photographers “mecca!”

And…my husband has a beautiful garden that always has something to “capture!”

So – here I go – checking off another item on my bucket list… least until George comes to the ferry!

I wanted to be in Oprah so badly! I just moved my goal over when she ended her show. Now I will happily be on Ellen or Steve Harvey. I’m not sure why yet, but it will involve helping people through my words or actions.
    Keep that list!!
