Birthing a BLOG

BLOG:  noun  1.  a personal website or web page on which an individual records opinions, links to other sites, etc. on a regular basis

Interesting. Well, obviously I have a website or you wouldn’t be reading this and I definitely have “opinions”…lots and lots of them! But…do I “link” to other sites…I guess we will have to see about that once I figure out exactly what that means. Same goes for “regular basis” – what I consider “regular” and what blogging experts consider regular” might be a different thing…

just sayin’

As I go forward with this little adventure, I guess I need to figure out exactly what I will be “blogging” about…

  • I know that I will blog about talented and interesting artists that I feature in our shop…
  • and interesting things to do in and around our funky little town of Harpers Ferry…
  • and I think there is some kind of “blogging” rule that you have to include recipes.

I’m good with that, I like to cook and have some amazing cooks in my family.

  • There also might be some blogging rule about “crafts”…that you have to teach the readers  something…Ok – I can probably do that…but don’t set your expectations TOO high!
  • And…I have to work on my photography skills…that is HIGH on the blogging rule list.
  • There will probably be some blogs about granddaughters…aging…pets…and the meaning of life (I think that makes me sound intellectual).

Whatever I blog about –  I am sure that I’ll enjoy thinking that YOU are enjoying reading it!

So…stay tuned…I’m about to Birth a BLOG…

And like Prissy said in Gone with the Wind…

“I don’t know nothin about birthin’ no BLOG”

ok….I took a little “bloggers” liberty with that line!

Good for you, Cindi! I so love your emphasis on WV products and people and stories…it keeps the character of commerce what it should be in an historic town with visitors coming here to enjoy the uniqueness of our wild and wonderful state, not just buy bland, made-anywhere ‘stuff.’ I hope words spreads far and wide that you are a go-to spot for genuine WV goods. (And especially appreciate personally that Charlotte’s story found a home.) Keep up the good work.
